At Brad’s Junk Removal & Moving – Hauling Heroes, being a “hero” means showing up, working hard, and helping others without hesitation.
We take pride in serving our community with integrity, respect, and a willingness to go the extra mile—whether it’s helping a family move, clearing out a home, or donating items to those in need.
That’s what being a Hauling Hero is all about.
Our mission at Hauling Heroes is to support disadvantaged families across the Tri-Valley and Bay Area by providing junk removal, moving assistance, and access to donated furniture at no cost.
We recycle, repurpose, and donate gently used items to help turn empty spaces into comfortable homes for those in need..
Our vision is to reduce furniture poverty while protecting the environment and easing the financial burden of moving for families in need.
Through our Hauling Heroes initiative, we aim to provide essential furniture and moving support at no cost—giving people a fresh start and turning empty spaces into homes.

My name is Brad Ballard, and I’m the owner of Brad’s Junk Removal & Moving, based in Danville, CA. I’m currently a student at Cal Poly SLO, working hard to grow my business while putting myself through school.
What started as a simple way to make money in high school quickly turned into something much bigger. As we began helping more families, I realized that not everyone has the resources or support to handle moving, cleanouts, or furnishing a home—especially during difficult times.
That’s why I created Hauling Heroes.
Hauling Heroes is a team of dedicated student-athletes who volunteer their time to give back to the community. We provide free junk removal, furniture delivery, and moving assistance to people in need—including seniors, veterans, low-income families, and individuals facing hardship.
We don’t just remove items—we do our best to recycle and donate whenever possible, helping reduce waste while supporting others in the process.
Our time, labor, and equipment are provided at no cost. Donations help cover essential expenses like gas, dump fees, and equipment so we can continue serving the community.
Every dollar goes directly back into helping someone else.
For us, this is about more than junk removal. It’s about showing up for people when they need it most—whether that’s helping a family move into a new space, clearing out a home during a difficult time, or delivering furniture to someone starting over.
We’re proud to be a local, hardworking team that believes in giving back.
According to researchers, a HERO is a person showing empathy and compassion for others and asking for nothing in return. These are key variables that contribute to today’s heroic behavior. Our guys are ready to be heroes!!

Brad and his Hauling Heroes did a great BIG JOB for this wonderful woman Mrs Argon of Danville. It took 4 trips because we worked hard to help her repurpose furniture to needy charities and made separate deliveries to Make It Home and Contra Costa Interfaith. Mrs. Argon worked side by side with us to get it done. Big furniture, large home office items desks files etc. And we did a huge dump run for her. Only Nextdoor could lead us to such a great job for both Mrs Argon and me. Text Brad Ballard Brads Junk Removal Moving if you need top notched help
